Following a life-long interest in Natural History and animal behaviour, I studied Zoology at the University of Manchester.

Fantasy model painting has developed into an interest in drawing and painting wildlife as well as design. Recently webdesign and photography are my creative focus.

I enjoy the outdoors and getting out and watching wildlife as well as actively volunteering for several charities. Since 2000 I’ve been actively checking sites on local rivers for otters for the Dorset Mammal Group.

I joined Marinelife in 2002 and have participated in many survey trips from the UK developing my experience of the whales, dolphins and seabirds of the Bay of Biscay and English Channel. Since joining the group I redesigned charity's website and have maintained it for 8 years.

I enjoy cycling, swimming and travelling. As a Scout leader I regularly teach groups navigation and hiking skills. I also regularly participate in running activities and challenges whilst on camps and events. Explorer Scouts are fairly active and enjoy a good variety of activities including hiking, camping, climbing, abseiling, canoeing, rafting and building rafts and assault courses with a good mix of scouting skills, socials and competitive events.

My music interests centre on rock music, including playing guitar and watching live bands - classic rock, indie etc.
