2006 Dorset Otter Group Results
816 records were sent to Dorset Environmental Records Centre in
2006. This is a little down on last year (946 in 2005), and there
are a few gaps to plug if anyone is interested. The lack of results
in the Wey catchment should be addressed by the May event, the Bride
valley is nearly covered now, and we are thinking of focusing on
the Poole Harbour area in 2008. Many thanks to everyone who surveys
for the group, your efforts are much appreciated by Dorset Wildlife
Trust, the County Mammal Recorder and DERC.
If you are a surveyor, you will find 4 new RECORDING SHEETS enclosed.
If anyone does not have a SURVEYOR CARD, which enables you to identify
yourself to landowners etc, please let me know as Ann Thornton,
our DOG volunteer will be making a new batch shortly.
